You do not need to bring your own instrument to a group or private lesson, unless you would prefer to play on your own instrument.
A limited number of 45 minute private lessons with our expert instructors are available during the conference for an additional fee of $70 payable by cash or check directly to the instructor at the time of the lesson. A private lesson is the best way to receive focused, personalized attention from one of our faculty members. They can directly address your specific needs in a private, one-on-one setting.
You can sign up for a private lesson on the registration form. Assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
Group or private lessons are a great way for you to experience our faculty in a more intimate setting, allowing the instructors to tailor their teaching styles directly to your needs!
Group lessons are a unique and enriching part of the Beginning in the Middle experience. In a small group limited to four participants, each of you will work one-on-one with the instructor while other participants observe and learn by listening to each other. You will be asked to play, so please bring music or something specific to work on with one of our amazing instructors. This could be a specific question about technique, rhythm, or just a general issue that you are experiencing.
Group lessons are available at no additional charge but playing space is limited and can be reserved on the registration form. All group lessons are open to observers and advance notice is not required.
