Leah Marie Trent has been helping with the Beginning in the Middle conference for several years. She began studying harp in Cleveland Ohio and then she continued her studies at the University of Colorado, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music. Over the years, Leah has played with a variety of orchestras and ensembles. She maintains an active free-lance schedule, providing music for choir concerts, dinners, weddings, church services and other special occasions.
Leah enjoys playing in and conducting harp ensembles. For eight years, she was the harp instructor and Director of Harp Ensembles at the Classen School of Advanced Studies in Oklahoma City. She has also been the founder and conductor of the St. Patrick's Irish Harp Orchestra in Oklahoma City, and the Greenbrier Valley Harp Ensemble. She currently maintains a private harp studio in Lewisburg, WV, where she performs regularly at the Greenbrier, the General Lewis Inn, and the Irish Pub on Washington Street.
